Welcome Letter

Getting Organized

As Salaam U Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah 5th graders! Summer is over, and we are off and running into a new school year. As you begin this school year, you will notice differences from 4th grade. Our hopes are to prepare you for Middle School. Your student agenda will be an important tool for success this year.

We will spend time each day going over important events and information.

Listen carefully and be sure to keep your agenda filled in. That way you and your parents will know about upcoming events and deadlines.

The Curriculum Corner

This year promises to be a busy and rewarding one. Fifth graders will spend time this year learning about World history, exploring a variety of new math concepts, and enjoying many selections of literature. We look forward to many exciting lessons.

Students will have an opportunity to work with other teachers who will be teaching different subjects.

I have taught Sunday School at the Islamic Center of Greater Richmond at Twin Hickory for two years before becoming the full-time teacher at IQRA Academy.
