Curriculum

Our curriculum and goals for our students are to teach the children by providing an exceptional experience in conjunction with Islamic values. 

The Iqra curriculum has been developed around the major subject areas of Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Physical Education, Computer Instruction, and Art, in addition to Islamic Studies, Qur’anic Studies and Arabic language.  The curriculum follows both the Chesterfield County Public Schools as well as the Virginia Standards of Learning.  The Islamic, Quran’ic and Arabic Curricula follow the curriculum developed by Iqra’ International Education Foundation of Chicago.

At the end of every school year, our students take the Stanford 10, which is a nationally standardized test.  These tests measure achievement in the areas of Language Arts and Mathematics. Alhamdulillah our students have scored exceptionally well in previous years.
